Starting with the single F-alto and progressing to the groundbreaking dual-bore F/F-alto and Bb/F-alto models, Merewether helped redefine high-register horn playing. The result was a major leap in horn design—setting the standard for modern descants. Featuring the Merewether system, where air flows in the same direction through both sides of the horn, this design delivers exceptionally smooth slurs and minimizes any disruption during valve changes.
