This Conn 8D is an Abilene TX made horn. We all know that these are not the most desirable 8D’s out there but we made sure that this is as good as it can be, by fixing the rotors, enlarging and hand-lapping a few of the slides that were loose, and taking about 95% of the dents out. This horn features our Mother Of Pearl valve caps (a $400 value). It comes with a light weight fix bell case We did ultrasonic on this horn and like all of the other horns that leave our shop, we made sure that everything works as intended. The Conn 8D is a legendary Kruspe-wrap French horn with a large bell and all nickel silver construction.
First introduced in 1938 with the Berv brothers, it became iconic in top U.S. orchestras and Hollywood studios.
