A medium size bore and bell greatly help achieve air efficiency while maintaining the beautiful dark tone color and rich depth of the nickel alloy. The Briz 1000 double french horn arrives lacquered from the factory. If requested, we remove the lacquer as most professionals in the USA play unlacquered horns. Removing the lacquer is a multi-step and involved process resulting in a slightly higher price. An unlacquered horn will develop a beautiful patina over time, a naturally occurring oxidation. We recommend to not polish the horn since this layer of surface oxidation protects the metal underneath.
The finger hook is adjustable and the change valve stop arm can be set to stand in either F or Bb.
