Moonstone Custom Finish
For some, ordinary is not enough. For those with a taste for all things exciting, different and extraordinary, we offer select model horns with our Moonstone custom finish (a Balu Innovation). At Balu Musik, we are the only ones in the world that offer this exotic and beautiful finish. It is a multi-step process requiring knowledge, patience, and skill. First, all lacquer (if applicable) and dents must be removed. Then we thoroughly polish and clean the horn in the ultrasonic before the Moonstone finish can be applied. It is a surface treatment only which makes no structural changes to your horn or your sound. Then we smooth the finish and thoroughly rinse and dry the horn before applying epoxy lacquer. The final step is baking the horn in our state-of-the-art autoclave.
If you have metal allergies our Moonstone custom finish with its strong epoxy baked lacquer could be the answer. Like with everything else that we sell we stand behind what we sell 100% so if you purchase one of our moonstone finish horns and your metal allergies have not been answered we will refund all your money back.
You can have this finish applied to your own horn for an all-inclusive fee of $1,500.
The fingerhook and thumb lever is adjustable and the change valve stop arm can be set to stand in either F or Bb.
