We made a horn that is highly responsive, has the same quality parts like our custom Fratris/Sororis horns and made it affordable.
How did we manage to do all of the above at this price? We used our established connections with our suppliers and asked them to provide us with great parts at fair prices.
Our Valkyrie horns have an Alex size ring installed, and our valve cluster is made for long lasting performance. We hand lap every rotors so they are smooth and fast, and have the “broken in” feeling of very high end horns. Our Valkyrie horns have the miniball levers, minimizing the risk of a string being broken, thus less maintenance is required.
But perhaps the most importance thing we do on the horn is install a custom leadpipe. For every horn we make we test 3 different leapipes and choose the one that fits the horn the best. Every French horn player knows that a LOT can be done from the leadpipe: from slotted notes in the high register (very important so one doesn’t “crack” the note) to ergonomics. We bend the leadpipe based on the requirements of the player. A 6’3″ player needs a completely different angle of the leadpipe touching their lips when compared with a 5′ players. This will make the horn feel balanced and comfortable in one’s hands, thus improving posture and performance. Our Valkyrie double horn is made for passionate amateurs, high school and college students.
These horns are available for a free facetime or zoom call with no extra charge, just like our high end horns that are at our store for consignment. Our customers have 2 weeks after receiving the horn to test it, keep it or return. If returned in the same condition the customer will receive 100% refund minus the FedEx ground shipping charge.
